Three different purposes
IGVW SQP2 distinguishes D8, D8 Plus and C1. D8 is not for moving or holding loads over people without additional measures. D8 Plus addresses holding such loads; C1 also covers movement under the appropriate conditions.
A hoist is not the whole installation
Controls, attachments, supporting structure and operating method must work as a coordinated system. A C1 label or a second brake alone does not approve a particular show.
Document the intended use
State whether the load will be held or moved, where people will be and how operation will be monitored. SQP2 is German industry guidance: the responsible qualified person must confirm applicable Croatian requirements.
