Top and front loading
A top-loading tower carries equipment above the mast. A front-loading tower lifts a load on forks in front. GUIL ELC and ULK illustrate these different concepts; do not choose by the largest kilogram figure alone.
Working and transport dimensions
Check attachment height, outrigger footprint and stowed dimensions. Do not confuse a narrow transport base with the required working footprint. Include adapters and equipment remaining on the tower.
Preparing a selection
Enter mass and height requirements in the configurator, then compare geometry and attachments. Front loads also require centre-of-gravity information and manufacturer conditions. A filtered result is a shortlist, not installation approval.
