The signal determines the cable
XLR describes a connector format, not automatically the cable’s application. DMX is a digital control link requiring suitable transmission characteristics. A microphone cable with the same pin count is not automatically a DMX cable.
Separate audio signal and speaker power
A signal cable to a powered loudspeaker differs from a cable between an amplifier and passive speaker. Neutrik speakON is designed for loudspeaker connections; it is not a mains power connector.
Describe both ends
For a cable order, specify device A, device B, signal, both connectors, length and conditions. A connector photograph helps, but a readable label and device manual provide more precise information.
