Each device has a role

DALI is digital communication for lighting control. A driver operates the light source; a controller decides what should happen, while sensors and buttons provide inputs. DALI-2 extends certification to control devices.

Groups and scenes

Instead of a separate switch for every luminaire, organise them into logical groups and stored scenes. A hall could have preparation, presentation and cleaning as different usage situations.

Check compatibility

Ask for exact driver and controller references and confirmation of required functions. DALI DT8 concerns colour control; it is not a version called “DALI-8”. Design and commissioning belong with a qualified integrator.
