Screens, lecterns and AV stands

The practical measurements you need before selecting equipment.

Sources checked 11 September 2026.

A screen is more than its diagonal

Record screen mass, mounting-hole pattern, orientation and permitted attachment points. A large diagonal alone does not tell you whether a stand is suitable. Check the mount and permitted adapters.

Viewing and access

Conference audiences need a clear view without obscuring the speaker. Mark display height, viewing distance and cable positions. Check that the base fits without narrowing circulation routes.

From storage to venue

Check doorways, lifts, thresholds and stowed dimensions. Mobility without a load does not mean movement with a mounted screen is permitted. Model instructions govern transport and castor locking.

Two more useful answers

Will any VESA mount work?

No. Pattern, mass, fasteners and the approved combination must match.

What helps with lectern selection?

The application, speaker requirements, device space and required connections.
